With the announcement of Microsoft Surface, Microsoft Singapore is organizing a series of Hack Weekends as part of their Dream. Build. Launch activity series.
The Hack Weekends will happen over a span of four weekends, aiming to help developers and designers get started with Windows 8 Development. Currently in Release Preview, Windows 8 is equipped with Windows Store for Singapore developers to publish their apps to the world. In this series of Hack Weekends, the Microsoft team will help turn ideas into reality in the three simple steps: Dream. Build. Launch.
How does it work?
1. Dream –You have 60 seconds to pitch your app idea and gather interested team members. Learn about the capabilities of Windows 8, Microsoft Surface and the market potential of this new platform.
2. Build – You can create the prototype of your application with the assistance and guidance from our Developer Evangelist during the Hack Weekend, after which you can choose to complete your application over the next few weeks.
3. Launch – You can get exclusive access to developer token by demonstrating your prototype application to our engineers.
The Hack Weekend is not limited to developers with new ideas, but also for those that have already started on Windows 8 app idea, there will be developer evangelists who are available to help publish any apps onto the latest Windows 8 operating system.
To keep it small and cozy ensuring all participants have a quality time with the Microsoft team, there are limited spaces. If you are interested, you should definitely sign up today to secure your spot at the Hack Weekend series.
