Lovebyte, a new social app that offers private space for couples with refreshing to-do ideas

Singapore’s very own mobile app for couples LoveByte is out now. Not only does it help you share and store memories, it recommends interesting date ideas and things to do for you if you ever run out of ideas.

One of the beautiful things about technology is that it has made communicating and interacting with one another possible even when both parties are miles apart. From video conferencing app such as Skype, Facebook, or ooVoo to instant messaging mobile apps such as Whatsapp, iMessage, MightyText or CubieMessenger, we have all adapted to new ways of communicating and interacting with one another through technology. The same goes for couples, where technology can be leveraged to help enrich the relationship between one another. LoveByte, a mobile app for couples, is one such app.

Some of the features of this Singapore based app includes adding photos of you and your other half, writing notes, a private space for both of you to chat with one another, as well as a customizable timeline to make the experience unique and expressive. While the idea of a social app for couples is not new, LoveByte comes with an added twist: it offers couples a great way to keep the relationship fun and loving by sending each other scratchcards. According to the LoveByte team, what started out as a website for couples to share their photos privately has evolved into an app that aims at bringing couples closer together through online and offline platforms. What I really like about the app is the incorporation of the scratchcard concept into the app. With the scratch card, you can count on the app to recommend you something fun to do with your other half if you ever run out of ideas or places to explore, something which we always complain about. SINGAPORE – July 27, 2012 – Lovebyte is now available on the Apple App Store and is on Open Beta! Started out as a website for couples to share their photos privately, LoveByte has evolved into an app that wants to bring couples closer together through online and offline platforms. It is now a mobile application and a micro-network that helps couples freeze a moment of time, document their lives and treasure these memories in a private, special space for only two. In addition, LoveByte also suggest great dating ideas for couples to go on new adventures, hence encourages them to bond offline as well.

In today’s technology advanced environment, couples have to adapt to new ways of communicating and interacting to build stronger and lasting relationships. LoveByte hence allows one to have undivided attention for his or her significant other, unlike that of open networks of Facebook and Twitter which contain information of many friends.
