Startup Grind, an event series and website designed to help educate, inspire, and connect local entrepreneurs will host Darius Cheung, cofounder of tenCube in next month’s meet up.
Fresh after their July Startup Grind with Meng Wong, they are back in action again with their next event. For September, Startup Grind features Darius Cheung, cofounder of tenCube, someone whom the community is very familiar with. Darius and his tenCube team managed to put Singapore on the world map through McAfee’s acquisition of tenCube Pte Ltd in 2010 for more than US$ 10 million (S$ 12.3 million).
After finishing the acquisition contract with McAfee in March this year, Darius has been actively playing the role as an angel investor, advisor and mentor to startups. He serves as executive member at Business Angel Network Southeast Asia (BANSEA) and participated in Neoteny Labs’ venture fund. Darius was previously selected for “25 Best Young Entrepreneurs in Asia” by Business Week and “Top Achievers Under 25” by The Straits Times, the national newspaper of Singapore. Darius is currently working on BillPin, an app that helps you remember who owes what, on the web, or on the go.
