The Luxe Nomad media launch gives a glimpse of what a luxury vacation should be like

Model-turned-entrepreneur Stephanie Chai wishes to inspire more people to travel through luxury membership-only travel service The Luxe Nomad.

Wish to travel with style? Look no further as The Luxe Nomad offers an exclusive, members-only luxury travel portal in Singapore that represents luxury hotels only at a fraction of the cost. The Luxe Nomad recently held its media launch with a bang in an affair full of glitz and glamor held on The Equator Club’s Nymphaea luxury boat.

Guests were instantly on holiday mode with their sunset drinks and not forgetting little bites by Foodology and complimentary foot massages by Sole Service. Not only that, media guests were invited on a spin aboard on the JCRAFT,  a sexy 42-foot Torpedo. Now that’s how a vacation should feel like.

Stephanie Chai, The Chief Nomad and founder of The Luxe Nomad, was there to meet and greet with the guests alongside celebrity TV host Henry Golding. Stephanie says she sees a positive growth in sales despite a short period of time being in this field. Another plus point of this luxury travel portal is that it appoints Asian celebrities to provide personal tips, hotel reviews and insiders to members as curators of the services. Stephanie says the aim of The Luxe Nomad is to inspire people to travel more.

The Luxe Nomad secured its first round funding from Tigris Capital during Echelon 2012 earlier this year, and is among the growing number of female start-ups in the region. “It wasn’t intentional to be an all-girl affair but we realized that women are key drivers of online sales. It is often the wives, girlfriends and mothers who are doing travel research and booking online,” says Stephanie. “What better way to understand your consumer than to be one yourself?”
