Zalora has announced the launch of its official mobile site for Singapore. After launching its official mobile websites in the Philippines and Vietnam, Zalora is rolling out its mobile web version of Zalora.sg. The mobile version offers the same services that Zalora features on its web offerings. Zalora’s fashion-oriented e-commerce brand brings free delivery, free returns, multiple payment methods, including PayPal and cash-on-delivery.
According to Zalora, its COD options helps address consumers’ concern for security when using their credit cards online, since they only pay once they actually get the goods delivered.
Bastian Purrer, Zalora’s chief marketing officer for Southeast Asia cited a PayPal study that says the mobile commerce market is set for rapid growth by 2013. “The ZALORA mobile site will bring unparalleled ease to online shopping in Singapore,” he said. “We aim to become an integral part of the move towards making shopping on mobile devices mainstream.”
Zalora offers over 500 premium local and international brands, and carries about 16,000 products across apparel, accessories and home and beauty, with target clientele including men, women and children. In September last year, Zalora received an investment from J.P. Morgan Asset Management for its Southeast Asian expansion.
