CyberAgent Ventures, the venture capital arm of the Japanese CyberAgent Group, has been in Vietnam since December 2008. Over the past four to five years, they have been actively looking for investment opportunities in the internet and mobile space, particularly in e-commerce, digital media, online game, online mobile game, online advertising, mobile contents as well as several other verticals. They have been actively investing in Vietnam, Japan, China, Indonesia, Taiwan, and Korea.
CyberAgent Ventures Vietnam is now looking to hire part time staff to help them research about the Thailand internet and mobile industry. On top of just research, part of the job description also includes working as a Thai – English or Thai – Vietnamese translator if necessary. Full time position is available upon satisfactory performance.
Here’s the full job description along with its requirements and perks:
Our editor Joash recently interviewed CyberAgent Ventures’ Director of Overseas Investment, Nobuaki Kitagawa, to find out more about his investment philosophies. Nobuaki-san shared that the firm is also showing interest in the Thai market. Countries like Singapore is not their focus yet as the market size does meet the criteria.
It looks like CyberAgent Ventures is getting serious about the Thailand market, a country which e27 also has a keen interest in as we went and held our first Echelon Ignite event there last year.
