Vserv.mobi, a global mobile advertising network for app developers, publishers, advertisers and telco partners, has partnered up with Vietnamese app store FPT Mobile Applications (FMA) to allow app monetization for the community locally.
This will enable the Vietnamese company to bank on Vserv.mobi AppWrapper to allow in-app transactions like “Try & Buy” for developers. Vserv has also seen exponential growth in Southeast Asia, with offices set up in Vietnam, Singapore and Indonesia, and the company looks to expand to Malaysia, the Philippines and Thailand this year.
David Yin, general manager of developer alliances in Southeast Asia at Vserv.mobi, said that “[t]his partnership will help FPT leverage the unique capability of the AppWrapper to deliver in-app transactions across multiple platforms with flexible end-user pricing models such as Try & Buy, Pay per Play and Subscriptions.”

Vietnam has also seen significant growth with a mobile penetration rate of over 183 percent and a mobile Internet usage crossing the 60 percent mark.
Nguyen Sy Trung, technical director at FMA, added that this partnership will help enhance the company’s presence in Vietnam. “We are excited to partner with Vserv as they have a very strong understanding of monetization in emerging markets. With consumers today being hooked to mobile apps, this partnership with Vserv will help us provide excellent monetization avenues to our Vietnamese developers present on our app store, while delivering premium content to mobile consumers and further enhancing our presence in the market.”
