Flexiroam wins the ASEAN Outstanding Business Award (AOBA) 2013

flexiroamFlexiroam, a Malaysia-based startup that helps travellers save on roaming charges, has just won the ASEAN Outstanding Business Award (AOBA) 2013.

The award recognises businesses, entrepreneurs, corporate leaders and outstanding personalities in ASEAN plus China, Japan, Korea, Australia, New Zealand and India that have excelled in their respective business arena.

According the the newsletter sent out by Flexiroam, their vision is to be the largest budget roaming service provider in Asia by 2015, enabling 1 million travellers to use their mobile phones while travelling without worry of roaming charges. The team also shared some amazing facts and milestones of the company, which includes:

  • 11 Million worth of savings on roaming bills
  • 732,852 of connected roaming calls
  • 129,501 people connected with FLEXIROAM

Flexiroam will also be celebrating their second year of operations in April. Earlier last year, they were awarded the DEMOGuru Award at Demo Asia 2012.
