The FARM Digital expands into Asia, acquires Barnett Interactive
Sydney-based digital agency, TheFARM Digital has officially announced its entry into Asia with their acquisition of Singapore-based agency, Barnett Interactive.By Elizabeth Tan 20 Jun, 2013
With the newly secured local market knowledge, existing relationships and clients from Barnett Interactive, The FARM Digital believes that this acquisition is the first step towards accelerating TheFARM’S plans to expand its services across Asia.

They are passionate about digital, had a strong methodology around social that was aligned with ours & worked with great clients such as Citibank, The Singapore Institute of Technology, Costa Coffee & CapitaMalls. It’s a really exciting time for us” says Chris Pile, Founder and Executive Director of TheFARM, who is now heading up the expansion into Asia.
TheFARM’s co-founding partner, John Guest has also moved into the Group CEO role in order to work with combined teams in Sydney and Singapore. “Moving into Singapore is a really exciting first step into Asia and we’re looking forward to expanding the team and growing our client partnerships across the region. The Barnett acquisition was perfect timing for us right now and the whole FARM team is very excited about growing & embracing our new capabilities in Singapore.”
Barnett Interactive is the digital and social media arm of The Barnett Group, which was also founded by Vincent Ha and Althea Lim. The acquisition would allow the two founders to step back and play an advisory role, freeing up time for them to focus on Gushcloud, an influencer marketing start-up which has been responsible for organizing events such as AngelHack Singapore. Jason Cheang, the former general manager from the Barnett Interactive would now take on the role as Client Business Director for TheFARM Singapore.
TheFARM Australia has been known for their digital insights and research-led approach in dealing with big FMCG corporations such as Sara Lee and Neutrogena.
