We’ve all heard so much about the promise of BlackBerry 10 during the last DevCon in Singapore. Whether or not the platform will live up to its expectation is still anyone’s best guest. The good news is, Research In Motion (RIM) just announced that registration for the BlackBerry®10 Jam World Tour in the Asia Pacific region is now open. Developers can expect to have hands-on experience for the new BlackBerry Platform and connect with RIM experts and other developers in the region.
The BlackBerry 10 Jam World Tour happening in Asia Pacific begins 2 July, 2012 and covers six cities in the region – Bangalore, Delhi, Beijing, Singapore, Jakarta and Sydney. Developers will have the opportunity to explore the unique capabilities of BlackBerry® 10 and to also be among the first to develop on this new platform. Interested developers can visit http://www.blackberryjamworldtour.com/ for more information.
“This tour will give us the opportunity to engage directly with BlackBerry developers across Asia Pacific. We plan to support our developers with all the necessary resources to help them launchtheir apps for BlackBerry 10,” said Alec Saunders, VP Developer Relations at RIM. “Through these sessions, developers will be able to gain a better understanding of BlackBerry 10 and engage with their peers.”
Another piece of good news for developers is that, qualified developers who attend the BlackBerry 10 Jam World Tour will be provided with a BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha device in order to test their apps and to help ensure their apps are ready and available for customers when the first BlackBerry 10 devices launch.
