Clozette CEO Roger Yuen joins crowdsourcing week as senior advisor for Asia Pacific

Roger Yuen, CEO & Founder of Clozette – a fashion social network that leverages crowdsourcing to discover fashion, finds and deals has just joined Crowdsourcing Week as the senior advisor. Prior to founding Clozette, Roger held senior executive management positions with SOFTBANK Forums, Ziff-Davis and CNet Networks, heading its operations in Asia Pacific.
Roger will be helping in program structure consultation, crafting conference content as well as keynote addresses of Crowdsourcing Week. The first ever week long global event designed to bring innovation and efficiency to organizations by leveraging the power of «the Crowd» will take place in Singapore in April 2013.
“Crowdsourcing will impact all organizations that leverages on social media and are looking for innovative ways to evolve their businesses. It will help level the playing field for SMEs. As an example, in the e-commerce space, Clozette uses its members (the crowd) to source and share fashion finds , steals and deals. I also think that crowd-funding, crowd-outsourcing have the potential to become a big thing in Asia”.
Some of Roger’s credentials include co-founding e-Cop, which pioneered the first 24×7 Managed Security Services in the world. e-Cop was acquired by a wholly owned subsidiary of Temasek Holdings. Roger is a board member and seed investor of Brandtology, a leading innovator in social media and online brand intelligence. Roger is also serving as a Councilor of the Singapore Infocomm Technology Federation.
