GeekCamp iOS Talks continues in the next iOS Dev Scout Monthly Meetup
iOS Dev Scout is a local community of iOS hackers and developers in Singapore. For their September meet-up, it will be held on the 13th of September at PlugIn@Blk71.By Jacky Yap 04 Sep, 2012
So Geekcamp which was oversubscribed concluded with a positive note. For those who has not had enough of Geekcamp, there will be a continuation of Geekcamp iOS talks in the next iOS Dev Scout Monthly meetup. Back in July, there was a hands on session during the iOS Dev Scout meetup, and in August, they organized an iOS app showcase.
In the upcoming September meetup, famous iOS author Mugunth Kumar will talk about “Designing a RESTful API server for mobile apps”. During his presentation in GeekCampSG last month he spoke about HTTP verbs, Versioning, API documentation and shared many tips and tricks. The topic was among top 10 on Hacker News that day. If you have missed his talk during GeekCamp, do attend his session again on 13th to learn from his experience.
After dinner, Subhransu Behera will share more about the next part of his session which he presented in GeekCampSG. Subh works as an iOS Application Architect in SAP. In GeekCampSG he hacked some famous iOS apps like Whatsapp, Instagram and Angrybird. He also discussed about the security flaws these apps are having. On 13th he will discuss further about how to develop a secured iOS app and prevent it from being hacked.
The founder of Coworkify, Kenshin Fujiwara, who is visiting from Japan will attend the iOS Dev Scout meet-up for the first time. During this meetup, Kenshin will share about his experience on building the iOS app for Cowokify. Coworkify is based in Japan and is a service similar to an AirBnB for event and coworking spaces. Kenshin will also share his journey from being a winner at Startup Weekend to becoming one of the most renowned startups in Japan.
