Cubie Messenger heads to Jakarta for first meetupBy Jacky Yap 14 Sep, 2012
Cubie Messenger, one of the fastest growing mobile chatting app in the region, is travelling down to Jakarta to meet with the local community.
With James Hill onboard taking up an evangelist role, the Cubie team will heading to Jakarta to meet up with the Cubie community. James shared with us when he joined Cubie a couple of weeks ago that his main focus is to grow the Cubie community.
“In terms of product, we want to understand what our users like and don’t like about the application, and will be looking to add features that increase the usability and fun factor of Cubie. Ultimately, it’s about meeting Cubiers in person and making the app better.”
The Jakarta meetup will be on September 19, from 7pm until 10pm. According to the blogpost announcement, this is the first ever Cubie Messenger meetup the team has ever held. Although Cubie is founded in Taiwan, the first community outreach event is to be held in Jakarta, one of the world’s most exciting city.
Cubie will be speaking about their progression from launch to over 3.5 million users in just six months. Through the meetup, the Cubie team is also looking to get some feedback from the Cubie community in Indonesia as well as local startups to find out how can they improve their product. They are also hoping to meet some local talent based in Indonesia.
