Available from today onwards, the Flocations mobile app allows travellers to find and book travel packages from local agencies that are not usually online. The app will extend Flocations’ travel package inventory of over 5,000 packages featuring more than 60 Singapore agencies to iOS users.
Flocations co-founder and product manager for mobile, Venkat Dhamodaran shared that 40 percent of their visitors come from mobile.
“Mobile traffic is captured by our web application for any mobile phone accessing Flocations web portal. However, we have decided to give our iPhone users a smoother experience with a native iOS Application”.
The iOS application features the ability to search for travel packages from local agencies, one-tap calling, email and booking. Additionally, user can filter by price, duration, dates, map out destinations, itineraries, and explore media. Future versions of the application will also allow users to manage their favourite packages and agencies.
To date, Flocations has over 45,000 monthly visitors to their site, claiming to surpass the traffic of inSing travel and NATAS (National Association of Travel Agents Singapore).
Other than the newly launched iOS app, Flocations is also gearing up its operations in Indonesia. The team is currently looking to hire a country manager there, managing and growing its current number of more than 1000 local Indonesia travel package inventories.
