Google’s new update to Street View allows to go back in time

How has Singapore changed? This new version of Street View will allow you to play time traveller and go back in time

Google’s new Street View is no time turner a la the Harry Potter series, but it does allow you to check out how a place has changed over the years.

Having gathered historical imagery from past Street View collections dating all the way back to 2007 for its desktop version, users can click on a clock icon in the upper left-hand portion of a Street View image, and move the slider through time to select a thumbnail and see what used to stand in its place a few seasons ago.

That being said, the ability to look at historical imagery has always been available on Google Earth, a virtual map programme.
