Beauty, health and wellness services marketplace SpaVista will use the investment to boost hiring and marketing efforts
Indonesia-based beauty, health and wellness services marketplace SpaVista has today announced securing a six digit figure* in seed funding from the founding team of Singapore’s online classifieds platform for cars sgCarMart and other investors such as Joel Fu, Strategy Director, sgCarMart.
Specifically, the founding team of sgCarMart is made up of Henry Seah, Tan Jing Lun, and Vincent Tan.
In an exclusive chat with e27, Ken Suriafur, CEO, SpaVista, said that the investment will be used to boost hiring efforts. However, he clarified, “We still prefer working as a small lean team and will only hire people with the right attitude.” Other than growing the team, much of the investment will go to SpaVista’s marketing budget.
The company has a head count of two right now. Suriafur noted that he is trying to hire a front-end and backend developer.
He added that SpaVista had met its investors at Echelon 2014, e27‘s flagship tech conference in Singapore. For the record, SpaVista was one of the top 62 exhibiting at the Echelon 2014 Startup Marketplace. It was selected after winning the Judges’ Choice at the Echelon 2014 Indonesia Satellite, where it pitched alongside nine other startups.
