Singapore Entrepreneurship Challenge 2012 (SEC 2012) is a first-of-its-kind two-week initiative by AIESEC in NTU, aiming to create the awareness that social entrepreneurship can benefit the society and earn a profit at the same time. It will be done primarily by providing a platform for the youths to experience and appreciate what it is like working in and with start-ups, supplemented by themed activities of case challenge competition, start-up career fair and various workshops.
As such, SEC Launch Conference will be organised in conjunction with the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Week (E&I Week) by the Nanyang Technopreneurship Centre (NTC). It represents one of the most highly anticipated events in SEC 2012, serving as a platform for the sharing of resources in terms of knowledge, experience and innovation, among the government, corporate, youth and academia of Singapore. It aims to attract 200 high potential youth and corporate representatives.
During the launch conference, delegates and speakers will have the opportunity to share their thoughts, insights and experience in terms of working in and with start-ups, as well as to engage in a vigorous and spirited dialogue.
There will be a panel discussions featured in the Launch Conference, on Life in a Startup: “Should YOU decide to work at a Startup after graduation?”. It opens up the dialogue in exploring a career alternative for the graduating students, powered by the real-life experiences from start-up founder, employees and career professional. Some of the prestigious panelists include renowned corporates and industrialists, as well as Ms. Grace Sai from the Hub Singapore. The dialogue is open to the public.
