New Internet brand issues in 2014: 1000 New Domains, Copyright Issues and IPV6
For the majority of the last 2 decades, there have only been approximately 30 choices for a domain name address (.com, .info, .biz, etc), offered by a handful of regulating authorities. This year, the Internet space is opening up and many enterprises are competing to offer more than 1000 new domain extensions, including Amazon, Ebay and Oracle. Domain extensions include .mba, .ninja, .golf, .mom, not to mention several non-English language extensions. The options for online branding have now opened up, but they are staggering, and the roll-out process is haphazard and overwhelming. For growing start-ups and businesses, what is your strategy, and where do you start?
Lye Chan Loy, MD of Adicio, gives a simple outline, addressing the new domain name issues as well as IPV6 and new copyright issues in 2014. This event is organized by NUS Enterprise, with support by SimplerCloud. Free attendance, limited seating , please register.
