Unique to Singapore, the AXS station is a one-stop multi-application and interactive self-service terminal that provides Singaporeans with comprehensive bills and fines payments services, online government eServices, prepaid top-up, ticketing and many other payment services. You can even purchase movie tickets and theatre shows through the machine.
With over 840 AXS Stations island-wide, the AXS Station network has grown to be the largest public broadband transactional terminal network in Singapore. Recently, AXS has roled out its new app called m-Station. Along with the other payment services provided at the physical stations, the new app comes with added featured such as the ability to activate the passcode for security and store bill account details under “My Favourites”. The payment history for the last two months can also be kept for reference upon activating this passcode.
For all successful transactions, users would also be able to receive email receipts. Indeed, the m-station is bringing the bill and fine payment experience to a whole new level. Yes, it gives us more flexibility and convenience in making payments, but I’m not so sure if I want to have bill and fines notifications buzzing off my mobile phone.
Nonetheless, this is a great and forward looking move by AXS. Maybe it’s time for S.A.M (Singpost’s self-automated machine) to take note of this and work on some upgrades too.
