Singapore-based mobile and social platform mig33 announced today that it has signed a content partnership deal with Shae, an Indonesian singer.
Signed under Warner Music Indonesia, Shae was last reported to have three times more fans on mig33 than on her official Twitter account. She added, “I attribute that to the interaction and engagement that mig33 offers. And even aside from our new-found fans, I’m generating revenue at the same time – which is something that simply cannot be done with any other similar platform.”
The content partnership deal will see a sharing of revenue between mig33 and the said content provider. It will also introduce gamification elements like badges, virtual gifts, competitions and other interactions. Steven Goh, CEO and co-founder of the platform shared:
“We offer it because mig33 is an engagement-centric ecosystem with the tools, the fun and the heart to help talent and fans find each other and form an ongoing bond. And that kind of online engagement – let alone that kind of revenue opportunity – is extraordinary in both its power and its rarity.”
He then added that it is a definitive way for these brands to reach the three things that matter: “fans, promotion and revenue”.
Shae’s not the only Indonesian artist mig33 is partnering up with. The press release noted that the other providers include Kikan, an Indonesian female rock singer and actress; Andi Arsvil, an artist in hit series “Tukang Bubur Naik Haji”, and Mieke Rose, a famous tarot or fortune teller.
