The birds are back. This time, the notoriously pig-hating avian creatures are in an old, abandoned dungeon with dragons flying, breathing fire on anything they see.
To celebrate, Rovio is holding an illustration competition with the theme, “What if the Angry Birds showed up in the world of Puzzle & Dragons?”
To submit fan art for the competition, all illustrators have to do is send the entries to firstname.lastname@example.org, or tweet them to @angrybirds with a unique #BirdsAndDragons hashtag.
According to the official website, all winners will stand to receive a special #BirdsAndDragons swag pack. However, one of them will go home with a one-of-a-kind #BirdsAndDragons prize from Rovio’s artist for Angry Birds.
Open worldwide to anyone aged 13 and over, the competition will close on November 20, and winners will be announced on November 25. The themed dungeon will be available from November 18 to December 1.
The competition, posted on various Puzzle & Dragons social media channels, has seen mixed responses from fans. Some players pointed out that GungHo should have partnered up with Japanese games instead, instead of collaborating with brands like Rovio. Previously, Puzzle & Dragons also collaborated with Supercell’s Clash of Clans to bring the latter’s characters to a dungeon as well.
What do you think? Perhaps Puzzle & Dragons will one day meet Candy Crush Saga, completing its top-grossing games collaboration.
