Become a Radical Product Thinker and unlock the visionary inside

We’ve been taught that visionaries are the rare, once-in-a-generation unicorns who change the world. If you're here, you want to change the world. And in fact, each of us is changing the world, in big ways or small, even if we don't realize it. So what does it really mean to be a visionary?

Join us as we talk about how we can be Radical Product Thinkers, or visionaries who are purposefully changing the world. What are the most common barriers or diseases that prevent us from creating change? Is the widely accepted model for building products, i.e. Build, Measure, Learn, Scale, really effective for building great products? Is there a better way to build world-changing products? We'll talk about how you can be a Radical Product Thinker both at work and in your personal life so that you can unlock the visionary within and consistently build world changing products.

Radhika Dutt
Co-Founder, Radical Product
How to create a powerful Vision and Product Strategy

Both Agile and Lean Startup are great for smart, feedback-driven execution - but they can't replace the foundation of product vision and strategy. In this hands-on workshop you'll gain practical experience in applying Radical Product Thinking to your work/ startup, so you can build vision-driven products. You'll work individually or in teams with other members of your startup, to develop a powerful vision and a comprehensive Product Strategy for your startup/ product. You'll also develop a prioritization approach that will help you in everyday life as you evaluate opportunities, balancing long-term goals vs. short-term activities that help you survive. The workshop will give you practical experience in being a Radical Product Thinker in any line of work: from non-profits to research, from government to high tech.

Understand the benefits and challenges that come with a remote team. Learn critical interview tips when hiring remote employees. Enjoy your most productive holiday till-date (and possibly ever) and be prepared to solve real-life challenges together with Founders. Make connections and add value through presenting alternative perspectives at workshops and roundtable discussions.

The intention is to provide aspiring founders a glimpse into the world of startups before taking the plunge.

Corporate Innovators interested in learning from Startup founders how implement best practices for corporate innovation transformations are welcomed to apply as well. Again, seats will be limited to ensure a healthy balance of attendees.

Who are the trainers?

Academy trainers are thought leaders who have walked the talk. They don’t subscribe to the notion of ‘those who can’t do, teach.’ Each trainer and their material is vetted by e27 and score high on Impact, Application, and Depth of knowledge.

How did you select course material?

We spoke to over 200 SEA Founders and found that entrepreneurs struggle with these 5 content pillars most:

1. New market entry in SEA (expansion or even launching from ground 0)

2. Leadership and Management (how be a CEO or leader, and personal well-being)

3. Fundraising (From your first investor to evaluating offers)

4. Hiring (Core team and HR policies)

5. Productivity and Performance (Be effective, and yield more results from everyone)

If you know someone who’s an expert in this area – let us know at [email protected]

Where will e27 Academy be held?

e27 Academy 2018 takes place in Indonesia (Batam), at Turi Beach Resort. It will be held on November 28-30th.

Transportation is provided from Singapore, Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal to the hotel accommodation.

Accommodation is provided in Turi Beach Resort, just minutes away from the 100ha Nongsa Digital Park.

How do I register?

Please subscribe to updates at https://mailchi.mp/e27/academy, and look forward to weekly updates on our progress with the Academy program.

Ticket details will be announced in the coming weeks.

Are there any out of pocket costs on top of the ticket price?

Transportation, Food (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner), and Accommodation will be provided for all participants. You can expect 5 star hotel acommodation, buffets and air-conditioned transportation.

The ticket prices are all-inclusive and there are no out of pocket costs associated with the Academy programme.

I’m interested to be a sponsor, or establish a Scholarship for deserving Startups.

We have four Academy sponsorship tiers, and a series of Roadshows leading up to the event.

Additionally, we have created Scholarship programmes which Sponsors can directly give back to the community by enrolling the most deserving startup founders to the e27 Academy programme.

Please contact [email protected] for more information.

How do I get to the event venue?

Once registered, Eventbrite will send you an electronic copy of your ticket. We will also send you a welcome pack with details on the programme.

This includes details on how to redeem a free Ferry ticket from Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal (in SG) to Batam.

I would like my family to join me at Academy, can you facilitate arrangements?

Please get in touch with us at [email protected] and we will assist with the logistics. Accommodation is near the beach and your family can explore the area and enjoy beach activities while you are on course.

Will my spouse and/or kids be able to share the same accommodation room with me?

Yes, do get in touch with us at [email protected] and we will assist with the logistics. Any additional costs would be at your expense.

Is it a shared accommodation?

Yes, it will be a shared accommodation and very much like staying in a school dormitory (but this is a 5 star resort). Everyone will have their own bed to rest in, and this is exactly what we mean by ‘going back to school’ 🙂
