BangkokStartup
You may not believe it, but BangkokStartup is a blog about the local Startup scene. We are the first to do so in English. Our goal is to bore you with lots of PR and spam your mailbox with weekly offers for special local delights. You can tell, we take this very serious. What can we do, we like to laugh. On a more serious note though; we don’t care so much about PR and all the pretty marketing stuff you might want to shove down our throats. We actually want to know what’s really going on. We are – at least for now – focusing on interviews with local entrepreneurs, provide a list of investors, startups, and people you better know when you are looking to network in Bangkok. We also collect all the events going on here – fyi horrible task – so you can easier plan your evenings and weekends. Why do we do it? Well, for once its fun to ask how much of your first vc funding was spent on booze, cars and the new apartment. More importantly though, we think that the local startup scene can use an English speaking Blog, if only to show foreigners that there is something great going on next to their favourite beach. There is no limit to how much knowledge should be shared – and we have the hope that we can attract more foreign expertise to Thailand and later export the local wisdom.
