The funding round was led by Jungle Ventures; it also saw participation from Rebright Partners and existing investor Blume Ventures
Singapore- and India-based data intelligence startup Tookitaki announced today that it has raised US$1 million in seed funding led by Singapore-based Jungle Ventures. The round was also joined by Japan- and Singapore- based Rebright Partners and existing investor Blume Ventures.
According to the company, the new funds will go into extending product R&D and expansion in SEA, Japan and ANZ markets for its SaaS platform.
Tookitaki, headquartered in Singapore, is a Big Data analytics firm. It uses a propriety consumer insights platforms to predict consumer behaviour in order to allow clients, which according to the company, span across travel, e-commerce, automobiles and consumer goods, to place targeted ads on the Internet.
According to Founder and CEO, Abhishek Chatterjee, Tookitaki started of as an ad tech platform that used predictive models on publicly available data to detect attributes that drive consumers to make purchases from paid ads on social and digital.
“In course of time, we realised that public content is one such data set to build 360 degree consumer behaviour mapping; hence the evolution to multi data sets to forecast time-based consumer insights impacting marketing, sales and operations of an enterprise,” added the CEO.
