In the world of work, there may be no better cursed gift than the email. It has revolutionised how the world works, but yet is the source of most office headaches.

In a Kopi Chat discussion at NUS Enterprise this morning, Mike Clapson, Slack’s Regional Head of Sales for APAC, pointed out that email may have gotten more important than the original intention.

He said that email was meant to replace the paper office memos, and it was remarkably successful in doing so. Yet, the system was not designed for how it is currently being used.
