In 1997, Eduardo Gonzalez graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Business Administration. His undergraduate work was rigorous, equipping him with the skills he would need to flourish in the financial services field. While at Carnegie Mellon, he was exposed to a diverse set of experiences, including market analysis, funds management principles, and developing predictive ranking models for equity investments.
After working for a number of years as an analyst and portfolio manager at several firms, Mr. Gonzalez was awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. In 2014, this achievement was followed up when he obtained the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst. These highly-prized industry designations are a testament to Mr. Gonzalez’s professional experience in the financial sector.
In 2016, Hoboken’s Eduardo Gonzalez was selected to join the team of Lazard Asset Management as part of the firm’s Portfolio Management division. His experience in the agricultural and livestock segments proved invaluable; at Lazard, his team was tasked with managing commodity futures and equities related to the commodities market. By analyzing and processing complex investment models, including both environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors and sustainable investment strategies, his team has been able to expand the many portfolios he manages.
