Earlier in January, Berrybenka secured funding from GREE Ventures and East Ventures in a Series A round.
According to the official press release, the newest funds will fuel Berrybenka’s pursuit in expanding into new product categories and gaining a bigger chunk of the market. The company will also expand its logistical capabilities and launch mobile apps to improve its customers’ shopping experience.
Jason Lamuda, CEO, Berrybenka, says that transcosmos is a strategic partner for the Indonesian startup. This is especially so given the Japan-based investor’s extensive experience in end-to-end e-commerce solutions globally. He adds,
“Be on the lookout for exciting new changes coming to Berrybenka.com, such as Cash on Delivery and 1-day delivery options, new product categories, mobile apps and personalisation/recommendation services, just to name a few.”
At the moment, Berrybenka has collaborated with more than 500 local brands to provide affordable clothing lines for the typical Indonesian female consumer.
