On its third anniversary, Asia-based last minute hotel booking platform HotelQuickly has revamped its site and app.
With a brighter colour palette for its app, HotelQuickly is aiming for a “more upbeat and contemporary aesthetic”, said a press release.
It has also replaced its ‘pillow’ logo with a ‘key’ logo, which was created by London-based brand consultancy Idea Is Everything. HotelQuickly says it “symbolizes the app’s ability to unlock dynamic discounts as well as more travel opportunities for its members.”
The changes are not merely cosmetic, HotelQuickly has added a few new functional features.
Multi-room bookings are now enabled; its map functions allow users to view available offers by location; prices can now be filtered to include or exclude taxes; there is also a credit feature–allowing users to offset their hotel costs by sharing the app through social media or by redeeming vouchers.
Another new feature is the ‘Special Gift’ offers, which is a collaboration between HotelQuickly and its partner hotels. Hotels award gifts to users — such as free vouchers, token treats and services such as airport transfers — if they book their stay through HotelQuickly.
The revamp is part of HotelQuickly’s new strategy for 2016 – which included the acquisition of Japan’s domestic hotel booking platform Tonight, partnership with payment gateway DOKU, and streamlining of its marketing operations.
Founded in 2013, HotelQuickly offers 12,000 hotels in 250 destinations across the Asia-Pacific.
