With this partnership, Junglee users can compare prices of locally available pre-owned products listed on Quikr. Under the section titled ‘Related Product Listings’ on the product pages of Junglee, consumers will be able to view relevant classifieds for other similar pre-owned products based on the their location.
“Our vision is to help customers find the best place to buy anything online or nearby. By adding Quikr to Junglee, we have expanded the buying options available to customers, and made the comparison between new and pre-owned items across online and offline local sellers that much easier,” said Mahendra Nerurkar, General Manager, Junglee.
As of now the feature is available for the consumer electronics category and will be available in 10 Indian cities, including Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi and Pune. Nerukar shared that the feature will expand to newer regions in the near future.
“Today, the lines are fast blurring between new and pre-owned, especially in hyper-active categories such as mobiles, electronics, etc. and our partnership with Junglee will ensure that Brand Quikr continues to stay visible in the larger context of buying and selling online,” said Pranays Chulet, CEO, Quikr.
For the record, Amazon acquired Junglee in 1998 and launched it in India in February 2012 as a comparison-shopping website. Junglee directly integrates with online and offline retailers to offer their products.
