KL-based product comparison platform iMoney Group has just announced new additions to its management team, ahead of a new round of financing.
While Co-Founder and current Chief Revenue Officer Bruno Araujo steps up as COO, Mitul Lakhani is brought in as CFO, Amanda Woo takes on the CMO post and Chris Antonius joins the team as Managing Director for iMoney’s Indonesian property Aturduit.
Lakhani brings 10 years of investment banking experience to the table, Woo boasts 15 years of regional marketing and brand management know-how and Antonius was previously the CEO of PT Excite Indonesia and MD of Jobstreet Indonesia for six years.
Group CEO Lee Ching Wei said the new appointments are in line with the growth that iMoney has recorded in 2015 following its Series B of US$4 million from Australia’s i-Select which is considered the country’s leading online comparison service. i-Select took a 20 per cent stake which upped iMoney’s value to US$20 million. To date, the startup has raised US$6.5 million and according to a release — is looking to raise a new round soon.
At the time of Series B, iMoney was reported to have 1.5 million monthly unique visitors, but that number has been moving quickly to 2.5 million monthly views, according to a release. With iMoney’s user base growing more than 170 per cent year-on-year, a statement revealed that the startup’s monthly revenue has grown five times since the start of this year.
iMoney lets users compare and apply for products such as credit cards, broadband, personal loans and home loans, without ever having to pay a visit to a bank branch. Paired with a call centre, iMoney helps consumers choose a product that’s best fitted for their needs then they can apply for everything digitally.
