Retina display ready desktop pictures for your new Macbook Pro
Following the announcement during WWDC, Apple fans and gadget lovers around the world were sent into a huge hype with the announcement of the World highest resolution laptop, introduced none other by Apple.
The retina display laptop which comes in its new line of Macbook pros, has an amazing resolution of 2880 pixels by 1800 pixels – four times larger than its existing series. Having experienced the demo unit myself at one of the local reseller for Apple, the Macbook Pro with retina display is definitely the best Mac Apple has ever built.
IFixit says, “The Retina display is an engineering marvel. Its LCD is essentially the entire display assembly. Rather than sandwiching an LCD panel between a back case and a piece of glass in front, Apple used the aluminum case itself as the frame for the LCD panel and used the LCD as the front glass. They’ve managed to pack five times as many pixels as the last model in a display that’s actually a fraction of a millimeter thinner. And since there’s no front glass, glare is much less of an issue.”
For those who are not sure why is it called Retina display, the new MacBooks have pixels so small, Apple says they can’t be individually discerned by the human eye. Reviews from around the World Wide Web has also shared that the retina display makes unoptimized websites and low resolution photos show how poorly the quality is. “Head over to any website outside of Apple.com, and you’ll quickly see what I mean. What looks like a crisp, sharp homepage logo on any well-designed site becomes a blurry mess”, says Electricpig.
So if you are one of the few lucky ones who have managed to grab the new Macbook pro, here’s some retina-ready desktop wallpaper that is optimized for your Macbook Pro, because the low resolution ones will look bad on it.
