Echelon 2012 alumnus SnapDish, the Japan based food photo sharing app  that makes cooking more enjoyable and delicious, has just rolled out SnapDish for Android on Korea’s largest app market, T Store, and the Japanese market, qiip.

T Store and qiip are both operated by SK planet. The partnership will also see SK planet cooperating in promoting SnapDish to users of both app markets.

SnapDish for Android has been available on the au Market and Google Play, and with this launch on both app markets, more users will be able to download and use SnapDish, especially in Korea and Japan. With SnapDish now available on the iOS App store, Google Play, au Market, T-Store and qiip, Vuzz has also plans to make SnapDish available on other app markets around the world. Vuzz is the company behind SnapDish.

Hidetaka Fukushima, International Business Development of Vuzz also shared with us that the app has been featured on the ‘Recommended Free Apps’, ‘Must Have Social Networking Apps’ and ‘Staff’s Favorites’ on the Japan App store, and has been downloaded by more than 260,000 people.

A month ago, we did an interview with the UI/UX team, and they revealed that they have about 200,000 downloads, with 35-40 percent active users. SnapDish partnered with in April, one of the largest social media in China, and has now their Korean partnership to bring its app to more users. With 60,000 monthly downloads, SnapDish is well on its way to hit its 1 millionth download mark.
