Hyderabad (India) based startup NowFloats has added a host of new features to its app NowFloats Boost. The app gives a free ‘business website’ instantly and optimises updated messages to ensure local discovery through automated Search Engine Optimisation (SEO).
It can be used to update business content — promos, offers, product information, sales, etc. on the go.
“We try to make this experience better by pushing new updates to the app. Boost 3.1 is our biggest update yet with some really cool features to create a website instantly,” said Vijay Vadlamani, Product Manager, NowFloats Boost. The update is currently available for iOS and the company is working on the Android update.
Users can now create a website using their Facebook Page. So if users already have a Facebook Page for their business, they can then login with the Facebook credentials and it will automatically create the website instantly.
According to Vadlamani, an incomplete website does not attract many visitors. “The NowFloats Boost ‘Site Score’ is designed to help you keep track of your website completeness. A higher site score translates to more traffic on your website,” he explained.
Customers love to see all the information they have shared on a single page. So, the app has introduced a ‘Business Profile’ section which collates all the information in one place.
It has also redesigned the home page, so the home screen shows a glimpse of the featured image, website address, site score, previous updates and an option to update again.
“And finally, the most requested feature is live. You can now change your website background image from the app,” Vadlamani added. It plans to come up with a new update in a few weeks for iOS 8 optimisation.
NowFloats, funded by Mumbai Angels, Blume Ventures and a few others, is aggressively expanding to Southeast Asia, with Singapore and Indonesia being the most important markets.
NowFloats enables Small and Medium Businesses (SME) to get an online presence by simply using SMS. This website can also be updated by sending regular SMS.
