Remember DoctorPage, the Singapore-based healthcare portal that provides free appointment booking services, which launched last September? Well, it has been reporting positive growth with funding from international investors and reporting to have reached 12,500 doctors and dentists with 250,000 unique visitors to its platform every month.

In addition to their existing webpage and mobile app, DoctorPage is now introducing a free healthcare concierge service with a dedicated, extended-hours hotline for users to call and book their medical appointments. All they have to do is dial the hotline at (+65) 8670-6733.

Well, we went ahead and dialed the hotline. To our surprise, there was no clinical robotic voice speaking at the other end of the phone line. It was a real person right from the start, waiting to help us with our booking. We were quite impressed, considering how annoying those “press 1 for English” lines are. According to Max Scheichenost, co-founder and CEO of DoctorPage, they have a team of three in-house customer service professionals handling the concierge service.

According to research and analysis from the team at DoctorPage, there is a category of users who preferred to make medical appointments over the phone. Dawn Soo, CIO at DoctorPage, said that the company is “constantly looking at expanding our offerings and improving the user experience.”
