Singapore mobile-commerce app Carousell has just announced their partnership with SPH Magazines to launch SheShops Marketplace, bringing over 200,000 fashion and beauty sales listings to readers of herworldPLUS and digital editions of selected magazines, including Her World.

The partnership will see all fashion and beauty listings created using the Carousell app distributed to the combined audience of prospective buyers on both the Carousell marketplace and SheShops Marketplace. This significantly increases the likelihood of a successful sale for Carousell sellers.

This will enrich the experience for herworldPLUS and digital magazine readers, as they can now shop from a huge variety of ladies apparel, shoes, bags and beauty products sold by members of the Carousell community at prices as much as 80 percent off retail price. Through the partnership too, over 200,000 fashion and beauty listings that are listed for sale by Carousell users will be available on the SheShops Marketplace.

Joseph Lee, Managing Director of New Media at SPH Magazines, says,

“We are constantly exploring ways to better engage our users and to provide them with enhanced experience when interacting with our digital properties. We are excited to partner Carousell for this initiative, as I am certain will allow our users greater access to the marketplace environment. Additionally, partnering promising startups like Carousell is our little way of showing support for our local technopreneurs.”

Launched back in August last year, Carousell has come a long way in making buying and selling things through your mobile phone easy. The distribution partnership is the second major partnership announced by the fast growing startup. Earlier in January, Carousell entered into a similar partnership with STClassifieds, where Carousell postings will also be posted onto STClassifieds.

Earlier last week too, the Carousell team also created an individual page listing out all the Singapore’s used textbooks and books which are current sold on Carousell. Students or book enthusiasts can now search from thousands of secondhand textbooks and books to enjoy huge savings.
