SnapDish is an Echelon 2012 alumnus, and since exhibiting at our main event, SnapDish has grown to more than 600,000 downloads. As for the user breakdown, 70% of SnapDish users are female, and approximately a quarter of SnapDish users are international users. To date, there are more than 1.5 million photos uploaded onto the social food photo sharing app.

When we featured SnapDish in May, they had about 200,000 downloads this has since tripled in just 6 months. The growth is unsurprising as personally, SnapDish appears to have a very well polished mobile interface which I also wrote about earlier in June.

The amount of investment by Digital Garage is undisclosed. With Digital Garage now on board, it will also have the opportunity to support SnapDish’s alliances with some of its group sites and services, and to support SnapDish’s monetization and marketing worldwide.

On another related note, Cyber Agent Ventures also recently invested in Taiwan’s food recipe social sharing network iCook. The food sharing space has definitely been quite active around the region.
