Singapore-based concert discovery startup GigOut! has launched its first ever Android app but it isn’t on the official Google Play Store. In fact, GigOut! PLUS is an exclusive offering on Samsung devices in the newly-released Samsung GALAXY Tab S series.
The aforementioned Android app has been preloaded on four devices, namely 8.4 Tab S wi-fi, 8.4 Tab S LTE, 10.5 Tab S wi-fi, and 10.5 Tab S LTE. These devices are available across the island nation.

For background, users of GigOut! can discover concerts, purchase tickets and find out if their friends are attending the same gig as them. These concerts hail from various parts of Asia including Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Hong Kong and Indonesia.
Previously, GigOut! was only available on the iOS App Store. Since its initial launch in October 2013, its iOS app has garnered 10,000 downloads with 70 per cent of all members being monthly active users.
Stefan Lim, CEO and Co-founder, GigOut! told e27 that its Android app for the Google Play Store will be rolled out in a few months’ time. He declined to disclose the total number of handsets preloaded with the app.
