KASKUS launches podcast service – Press Release

Indonesian online discussion and e-commerce platform KASKUS on Tuesday announced the launch of its podcast site, which is accessible through its own microsite.

Starting off as an online discussion forum in 1999, KASKUS has expanded their business to include video channels and e-commerce platforms.

In addition to providing the online platform to share the content, the company also provides studio facilities for Kaskus members and communities to record their own podcast for free.

“The KASKUS Forum is abundant with rich, quality threads and articles made by our very own users. Some of these threads had even been republished as books and feature films. Considering this, KASKUS aims to amplify the reach of these quality contents by allowing transformation from text to audio-visual format, through the launch of KASKUS TV and KASKUS Podcast,” KASKUS CEO Edi Taslim explained in a press statement.

Coworking space operator COCOWORK launches CoHive – Press Release

Indonesian coworking space operator COCOWORK (previously known as EV Hive) announced on Thursday the launch of its CoHive brand.

Going forward, CoHive will be the flagship brand for its coworking spaces (CoHive coworking and Offices), co-living solutions (CoHive Co-Living and Residences), and new retail concepts (CoHive Marts and CoHiveX).

“We have a strong pipeline of entire office towers and townships where we eagerly looking to put through our entire set of shared services and community building activities that will be rolled out to our community over 2019,” CoHive CEO and Co-Founder Carlson Lau said in a press statement.

The company currently operates 22 workspace locations in Jakarta and Medan.

Singapore’s MC Payment launches e-payment solution for Indonesian SMEs – Press Release

Singapore-based fintech startup MC Payment, through its Indonesian operations PT. MCP Indo Utama, on Tuesday announced the launch of Instapay, an e-payment solution for Indonesian small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Instapay enables merchants to accept cashless payments (credit and debit cards, virtual accounts), cross-border transaction, and send invoice through social messaging platforms such as Whatsapp and LINE. In the future, it will also enable the use of e-money services.

To register for the service, merchants only need to upload copies of identity card, taxpayer identity card, and family registry to the Instapay platform. The process itself will take less than 24 hours.

Accounting, HR management platform Sleekr to expand fintech vertical – DailySocial

Indonesian accounting and human resource management platform Sleekr is looking forward to expand its fintech offerings, DailySocial reported.

Sleekr CEO Suwandi Soh explained that the company will partner with a fintech startup to enable its users (employees of companies that are using the Sleekr platform) to invest their salary directly to a mutual funds account.

The service is currently under development.

Previously Sleekr has enabled its users to apply for loans at fintech companies through its human resource management platform.
