Hong Kong property platform Spacious nabs US$3 million

The company intends to further expand into Southeast Asia; has launched pilot sites in Singapore, Shanghai and Taipei

Spacious, a property platform based in Hong Kong, has nabbed US$3 million from a group of investors including Nest VC Partner Billal Naveed and Ticketflap CEO Martin Haigh, according to Techcrunch.

The identities of other investors in participation is not disclosed.

The company intends to expand further into Southeast Asia; has launched pilot sites in Singapore, Shanghai and Taipei.

Spacious is a property discovery platform that enables users to rent or buy homes, apartments, real estate, similar to property sites like 99.co, Lamudi and Housing. The site displays details such as property prices and trends, distribution of schools, political demographics, even the location of haunted houses.

Aside from charging agents a fee to utilise the site, the portal also generates income via referrals from transport and service apps such as Uber and GogoVan.
