We are currently seeking a Software Engineer, Escalations for our award winning Singapore office.
Have a unique knack for deep debugging / troubleshooting, but not ready for feature design - and want to learn from some of the best enterprise software engineers you can find in Singapore? This position is a great starting point to learn about distributed systems, software architecture, cloud migrations, enterprise automation - and ultimately move to feature development or enterprise technical consulting.
Responsibilities: the kind of sh*t you'll get done includes...
Debug, identify the root cause and resolve escalated customer issues
Provide frequent updates to the Support Team
Write root cause analysis documents upon customer request
Proactively seek out issues that can affect the customers and take the necessary steps to resolve them
Contribute to internal knowledge base articles
Skills/expertise: we want to meet you if you're all about...
Bachelor/Master degree in science or engineering preferred
Experience with strongly typed object-oriented programming (C#, Java)
Highly motivated and willing to go the extra mile to learn, analyze and solve technical issues
Solid problem solving and deep troubleshooting skills (ex: packet sniffing, debugging, etc.)
Ability to work at all levels of the stack (database, back-end, front-end)
Ability to read, learn, and fix code that you’ve never seen before
Ability to consider multiple solutions, and evaluate the impact and risk of each solution
Ability to pass a background check and handle sensitive data in a confidential manner
Ability to record, replay, and organize repro steps
Strong communication skills: be able to give the right level of information at the right time to the right person
