MOL AccessPortal Sdn. Bhd. (MOL), an e-payment service provider in Asia, has just announced its partnership with Blizzard Entertainment, Inc., a game developer and publisher to provide MOLPoints as a payment option. This will be made available on Blizzard’s Battle.net gaming service where gamers in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and the Philippines can take advantage of the convenient physical and online payment channels for purchases on the site.

The online micropayment method will also allow players to benefit from the new wallet-to-wallet integration to purchase the games and other Blizzard products. Paul Sams, COO at Blizzard Entertainment, said, “We are committed to making our games conveniently available to as many gamers as possible, all around the world.”

Of course, this partnership with Blizzard, which has been spending decades making critically acclaimed games like World of Warcraft, Diablo III and StarCraft II, has proven that MOL is reaching out to the rest of the region with a more efficient payment channel. “MOL’s extensive network of payment channels and knowledge of the local markets makes them a valuable partner in the region,” Paul has added.
