From April 9 to May 9, 19 entrepreneurs will be chosen to live and work at the exotic island of Koh Tao in Thailand. This will be their fourth time organizing Project Getaway, with the previous three all held in Bali, Indonesia.
Attracting international entrepreneurs from different backgrounds, countries and areas of expertise, they aim to use this to help participants gain new insights, friendships, business ideas, partners and a tappable network. The event itself has already attracted numerous local and international sponsors like Philips, Startupbootcamp, Rainmaking, Podio and LT+ concierge.
It did cross our mind – does working offsite lead to a surge in productivity? Understandably, working short periods of time at a new environment will bring in surges of productivity due to a change of scenery, but what about those who moved continents to work? Does that cause them to be more productive? Does this surge of productivity wear off after a while?
By the way, Project Getaway Thailand is fully booked. There goes our dream of working in a wetsuit.
