Startup Station Accelerator Program, which was the result of a partnership between Facebook and the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) in Singapore, today named the 10 startups graduating from its programme.
Announced at the programme’s inaugural demo day event at Marina Bay Sands, the startups will join Facebook’s startup alumni programme that will continue to connect them to a global network of startups.
During the event, the startups presented solutions for the healthcare, media, retail, hospitality and tourism sectors.
They also included the application of new technologies including artificial intelligence (AI) as well as Facebook’s developer tools.
The following is the list of those 10 startups:
Allied World Healthcare (Philippines)
A social enterprise, the company aims to sustainably deliver basic healthcare services in underserved communities; filling the gaps where traditional healthcare services don’t reach.
The company provides fleet management and analytics for Asian market, and is focused on turning Asia’s vehicle fleets into the smartest and most cost-efficient in the world.
The company builds an intuitive end-to-end sensing and analytics service connecting retailers with FMCG manufacturers.
GigaGigs is the app that instantly connects you with micro-tasks (simple, fun and easy-to-do tasks), and pays you upon the completion of these tasks.
The company said it has the fastest direct-to-consumer conversational commerce enabler that converts every social media post into a personalised and engaging checkout experience.
The platform is an online news aggregator and obtains its news from several online sources
A social media app which allows users to report problems directly to the city government and businesses, as well as share information with people around them in order to help create Smart Cities.
The startup provides products that enable marketers to analyse social networks for product, brand, or topic trends.
The platform supports companies to build high quality, scalable artificial intelligence (AI) digital concierges that help with customer service, marketing, and even loyalty programmes.
An ordering and payments app you can use to order takeaway ahead of time to skip the line, or for dining in to skip waiting for service.
Powered by Rainmaking, the event is Facebook’s second data innovation startup programme globally (after France) and the first in Asia.
