Lifestyle e-commerce site Maskoolin announced today it has received an undisclosed amount of pre-Series A funding from Indra Djokosoetono, who is widely known as owner of Indonesia’s largest taxi company Blue Bird Group.

The Jakarta-based company aims to use the funding to expand in the Southeast Asian market, beginning with Malaysia. It also plans to hire new talents for its Indonesia and Malaysia office.

“The increase and growth of economy in Southeast Asia will support higher buying power in luxury goods,” said Djokosoetono on what drove him to invest in a lifestyle e-commerce site.
