Last Friday, Google announced a partnership with True Digital Park that will make the search giant the technology partner for the digital innovation hub in Thailand.

True Digital Park will become the door and medium for Google to showcase its support for a fully digital lifestyle.

A core part of the project is “Academy Bangkok – A Google Space” which will be Asia’s first — and the world’s second — center for startup education, training and mentorship.

The startup community can expect collaborative training, workshops and networking activities.

“Thai people can access digital related knowledge in a 200 people-capacity training center,” said Ben King, Google’s Country Director of Thailand.

Dr. Kittinut Tikawan, President (Co) of True Corporation Plc mentioned the mutual vision and commitment between the two parties will factor into the total support of Thai government’s digital economy policy.

With the collaboration, Thanasorn Jaidee, President of True Digital Park, noted that it marked the first ever digital incubation center in Asia.

“It offers Thais a tremendous opportunity to learn and improve their digital literacy and competencies,” said Jaidee, emphasizing how True Digital Park is ready to be a global destination for the digital savvy.

True Digital Park prides itself is the most complete and open startup ecosystem in Thailand. It covers aboud 77,000 square metres and comprised of four fully integrated spaces of co-working, enterprise, innovation, event and business facilities.
