Deepika is the Chief Operating Officer of Singapore’s largest SME growth financing platform, Validus Capital. A seasoned banking professional with over 26 years of experience, she has held country, regional and global roles across India, Hong Kong and Singapore. She has deep domain expertise in regulatory programme management, risk implementation as well as commercial and SME banking. At Validus, Deepika oversees the entire operations of the company. She designs and implements business strategies, plans and procedures and develop a pragmatic and a "big-picture" view without compromising granularity. Prior to Validus, Deepika held various roles in risk management and commercial and SME banking at Citibank. The last position she held was Managing Director, Head of Finance and Risk Infrastructure, Asia Pacific, at Citibank. Some of the key achievements in the past roles include developing the original Credit Programs for the launch of Citibank's SME Business in India, leading the development of the Internet Banking platform for the business and establishing an outsourced service model for processing customer queries for the branch banking business in Citi India. With her strong interest and a myriad of experience in the banking and regulatory scene, Deepika has contributed articles about topics on risk management, finance, economics and fintech. Deepika holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the Indian Institute of Management and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Mumbai University.
