ABOUT QUEEN ELIZABETH
.... queen: /kwin/ noun 1. a female sovereign or monarch. 2. the wife or consort of a king. 3. a woman, that is foremost or preeminent in any respect. 4. in chess: the most powerful piece of either color, moved across any number of empty squares in any direction.
Queen Elizabeth was brought to this earth on a fall day through the portal in Torrance, California as Elizabeth Alarcon. Hailing from a musical family, it was clear at young age that this girl was born to be a musician. At the age of 3, her mother found her in the backyard playing with spoons and glasses each filled at different water levels, as if it were a xylophone. Shortly after, her parents purchased a small keyboard for her. She would eventually pick up the violin and began composing music in her bedroom. As a high school English professor suggested, Elizabeth nurtured her love of writing and continued to write short stories, and poetry. Fused with her love of hip-hop and electronic music, she set out to break stereotypes about women in hip-hop. And here we are.
“I simply cannot see my life without music. In other words I live music, it is the air that I breathe.
I want to continue performing, composing, writing, and eventually teach. I would like to inspire the next generation of musicians, just as my professors have inspired me. Aside from film scoring, I aspire to write jingles for commercials, and music for television. Lastly, I am eager to learn different musical styles and overall acquire the necessary skill set to become a better musician, performer, and composer.”
