Based on my passion in sustainability and decade-long experience in the mattress industry, I founded 'nornnorn', the world's first-ever mattress subscription service for hospitality businesses based on the Circular Economy concept, in February 2018.
Our goals are to make access to quality mattresses more financially viable for hospitality businesses in Southeast Asia and South Asia and ensure that our planet's finite resources are used more productively by recycling and/or upcycling used mattresses at the end of the subscriptions.
In addition to running nornnorn, I am also currently:
- A UNICEF Thailand Champion, a member of the Steering Committee of the UNICEF Thailand NextGen programme; and
- A Co-Country Director of NEXUS Thailand, a part of NEXUS, a growing international network of more than 3,500 young investors, philanthropists, social entrepreneurs, influencers and allies who work to increase and improve philanthropy and social impact investing.
Prior to founding nornnorn, I spent over ten years developing and executing strategies for my family business, one of Thailand's top three mattress and bedding manufacturers and distributors with more than 90 years of history and thousands of B2B clients in Southeast Asia, South Asia and Australasia and extensive retail operations in Thailand and Myanmar.
I hold a Post. Dip. in Economics from the University of Cambridge and a BSc. (1st Hons) in Physics with Theoretical Physics from the University of Manchester. I was given the Model Business Person of the Year Award (Household and Office Goods Sector) from the Foundation of Science and Technology Council of Thailand in 2012 and featured in Forbes Thailand in July 2013. In addition, I was selected as one of the four Finalists for the UK Alumni Entrepreneurial Award (Thailand) 2020.
