Indian edu-gaming startup LogicRoots has closed angel funding of US$400,000, according to industry reports.

The round was led by ah! Ventures’ investment platform CLUB ah!, with participation from angels from 91Springboard and Calcutta Angels.

The investment will be used to focus on and boost its app Mathaly.

Founded by IIT Alumni Gunjan Agrawal and Kunal Gandhi, LogicRoots’ vision is to make math the most loved subject for every child. It creates games to boost mathematical skills in arithmetic, fractions, decimals and memory building for school kids.

“Over the course of next 12 months our focus is to build stickiness and repeat value among students for Mathaly. Mathaly will see extensive gamification, newer levels, powers and more adventures, all while kids are practicing Math. Further, we will add depth to the artificial intelligence engine behind Mathaly to make the learning experience truly personal for every child. We want to really reinvent how kids practice math,” said Gandhi, in the report.

The startup has developed games, worksheets and activities for grade one to five.
