Mobikon Asia, a Singapore-based firm specialising in customer engagement solutions for the food and beverage (F&B) industry, has announced the launch of its new platform mEngage at the Food and Hotel Asia Exhibition in Singapore. It will go live on April 8, 2014.
The mEngage platform consists of a one-stop dashboard, powered by two modules – one customer facing and another for the F&B brand. The customer facing module will secure reviews and customer data when they are onsite at the restaurant. Subsequently, this data will be aggregated by the dashboard, and combined together with other data gathered from point-of sales (POS) systems and social media networks.
The brand module will then take the data, perform analytics on it, and provide either an overview to the F&B brand or segmented insights. These insights can then be used by restaurants and cafes to improve operational efficiency and build targeted digital campaigns.
Samir Khadepaun, Founder and CEO of Mobikon Asia, is cognisant of the various issues F&B brands face when it comes to dealing with multiple vendors, systems, dashboards and customer data. “Given the various issues F&B brands face in building a business in one of the culinary capitals of the world, we help by automating customer engagement and marketing to drive revenue and repeat customers,” he said, “Brands can then focus on delivering delicious meals and good service experiences while automating customer and marketing support functions.”
According to Mobikon, it is possible for restaurants to save over S$3,000 (US$2378) in manpower expenses a month by using mEngage to automate customer community management and marketing functions.
Starting from April 15, 2014, mEngage will be available on both, the browser and iOS platforms. Mobikon Asia plans to launch an Android version by Q3 2014, as well as a developer API to let partners such as app developers, point-of-sale systems and loyalty programme providers integrate their systems with mEngage.
